Currently, workshops are our primary vehicle to increase character education awareness. In the next 12 months we are offering 6 workshops in southern New Hampshire, any of which fulfill the state requirement of five clock hours toward teacher re-certification. This year the Elementary and Middle School/High School participants will be divided into separate sessions to focus on grade level specific curriculum in all of the workshops. All of us on the CDF board of directors are either past or present educators. We have attended and conducted our share of workshops. Therefore, we have an understanding of what works and what does not. The objective of every workshop we sponsor is to provide the educator with an experience that is pleasant, professional, and develops knowledge, understanding, and skills in character education. Workshops will be conducted at the Ramada Inn at Amoskeag Falls in Manchester, NH. Log in here for updates on the location as this could change. Here you will find an atmosphere that is enjoyable as well as conducive to learning. Each workshop includes a manual (and any other materials needed for the workshop), coffee, juice, and pastry in the morning and lunch (why should business people get all the perks!!). Workshops begin at 8:00 and end at 2:30. Cost of each workshop: $95.00 (non-refundable - transferable). |
